Datimprint™
Data statistics, fingerprint, and verification software.
- Have you backed up your data but want to be assured that the backup is 100% identical to the original?
- Do you need to know if your current data differs from your backup, to ensure that flash media isn't degrading for example?
- Would you like to maintain an “imprint” of your data at a certain point in time to compare with later?
Generate Data Imprint
Generate an imprint of original data, to serve as a snapshot with which to compare backup data; or an imprint of data already backed up.
datimprint generate C:\data --output C:\imprints\data-2022-11-12.datim
See the overview for more details.
Check Data Imprint
Check current data against an existing imprint, such verifying that a backup matches the original data; to confirm the original data has not degrated; to see what data has changed since the last backup.
datimprint check C:\backup\data --imprint C:\imprints\data-2022-11-12.datim
Use the --output
parameter to store the resulting report in a file.
See the overview for more details.
